- After specializing in gastroenterology, received training abroad, primarily in Japan, in minimally invasive, non-surgical, advanced endoscopic techniques such as endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) and endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) for the treatment of early-stage esophageal, gastric and colon cancers and polyps, and per-oral endoscopic myotomy (POEM) in ‘achalasia’.
- Successfully performed most of these procedures for the first time in Turkey and has successfully carried out more than 5000 advanced endoscopic procedures.
- For the scientific results of the successful procedures performed, was awarded numerous prizes at national and international congresses.
- With an endoscopic technique developed by the physician, was chosen ‘World Endoscopy Champion’ by the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE).
- Serves as a reviewer for scientific journals such as Digestive Disease and Science Medicine and Endoscopy International Open, and as editor of the Türk Gastroenteroloji Dergisi.
