In 2012–2017, served as Chair of the Postgraduate Education Commission at Kocaeli University Faculty of Medicine.
Served as chair for the 2016–2018 term and as a board member of the Pediatric Pulmonology Working Group of the Turkish Thoracic Society.
From January 2008 to August 2008, served as a research assistant at the Department of Pediatric Respiratory Diseases, University of Padua, Italy.
Awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2010 and Professor in 2016.
Member of the Board of the Pediatric Pulmonology Society.
Active member of the Turkish Thoracic Society, the National Pediatric Society and the European Respiratory Society (ERS).
