- In 1992–1997, completed specialty training at the Department of Neurosurgery (Brain and Nerve Surgery), Marmara University, Istanbul. During this period, completed the 4-year European Association of Neurosurgical Societies (EANS) courses.
- In 1996, received Gamma Knife training at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden.
- In 1997–1999, conducted research and studies on Spine Biomechanics at the University of New Mexico.
- Awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2011 and Professor in 2017.

- Spine surgery,
- Neuro-oncology,
- Neurotrauma.
