- In 1996–1998, conducted research at the Urology Clinic, Mannheim Faculty of Medicine, Heidelberg University.
- In 1997, worked in the field of uro-oncology at the Mayo Clinic.
- Obtained the title of Associate Professor in 1994 and the title of Professor in 2000 at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine.
- In 2006–2008, served as President of the Turkish Society of Urology.
- In 2003–2013, served as a member of the Executive Board of the European Association of Urology.
- Has served as Head of the Urology Department at the American Hospital since 2002.
- Faculty member at the Department of Urology, Koç University Faculty of Medicine, since 2011.
- In 2014–2017, served as Vice Dean of Koç University Faculty of Medicine.
