- Attained the title of Associate Professor in 1997 and Professor in 2003.
- Member of the Turkish Surgical Association, the Turkish Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery Association, the European Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery Association, the Istanbul Boys’ High School Alumni Association and the 1884 Foundation.
- Served on the Board of Directors of the Turkish HPB Society between 2007 and 2009.
