Membership of the Turkish Society of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery, presidency of the Society of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery, membership of the European Rhinologic Society and the European Society of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology (ESPO), and member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery.
Obtained the title of Associate Professor in 2000 and Professor in 2006 at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology (ENT), Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine.
Served as President of the Society of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery.
Authored more than 100 articles, 47 of which were published in international peer-reviewed journals.
Served as a visiting professor at the Division of Pediatric Otolaryngology of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, University of Cincinnati, in the USA between 2003 and 2004.
