Completed specialty training in Pathology at the Department of Pathology, Istanbul University (İÜ) Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, in 1990.
After military service completed in the pathology department of GATA Haydarpaşa Training and Research Hospital, received 2 years of subspecialty training in France as a scholar of the Collège de Médecine des Hôpitaux de Paris.
Subsequently, between May 1995 and November 2022, continued an academic career at the Department of Pathology, İÜ Istanbul Faculty of Medicine. Became Associate Professor in 1997 and Professor in 2006.
The number of papers published in international peer-reviewed journals and presented at congresses is 167, and there are also numerous papers published in national peer-reviewed journals and presented at congresses.
Member of the European Society of Pathology.
