In 1997, received the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certificate.
In 2010, was elected by the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Society of Europe as an honorary member (Fellow).
In 2011, was elected to the European Board of Interventional Radiology.
Served as a member of the Board and Secretary General of the Turkish Society of Interventional Radiology between 2009 and 2011, as a member of the Board of the Turkish Society of Interventional Radiology in 2013–2014, as Chair of the Scientific Committee of the Turkish Society of Interventional Radiology Annual Meeting in 2011, and as a member of the Scientific Committee of the Turkish Society of Interventional Radiology Annual Meeting between 2012 and 2015.
Participated in the Varicose Vein Workshops organized by the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe and served as a coordinator.
Member of the Turkish Society of Radiology, Turkish Society of Interventional Radiology, European Cardiovascular and Interventional Society, European Society of Radiology and European Venous Forum.
Continues to serve as Field Editor of the Interventional Radiology Section of the Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Journal and as a peer reviewer for the journals Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology and Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology.
Organized numerous international and national scientific meetings and took part as a speaker in many events.
