Along with specialty training in General Surgery, organ transplant surgery also became a part of their life. The process that began with kidney transplantation turned towards hepatobiliary surgery with a one-year training period in Liver, Biliary Tract and Pancreatic Surgery at the Istanbul Faculty of Medicine.
Was the first scholar to win the overseas liver transplantation training scholarship awarded by the Turkish Liver Transplantation Association. Had the opportunity to work with Prof. Dr. John Fung at the Cleveland Clinic in liver transplantation and hepatobiliary surgery.
After returning to Turkey, worked in organ transplantation and hepatobiliary surgery. Since 2010, when earning the title of Associate Professor of General Surgery, has worked while taking responsibility in organ transplantation programs.
Earned the title of Professor of General Surgery in 2016.
