- During specialty training, worked for 6 months as a visiting clinician at Mayo Clinic Rochester on neuro-oncology and movement disorders.
- Became Associate Professor of Neurology in 2000 and Professor of Neurology in 2012.
- Currently Chair of the Behavioral Neurology and Dementia Working Group of the Turkish Neurological Society.
