In 2004, was accepted to a fellowship position at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation Department of Plastic Surgery, Microsurgery Division and worked there for two years.
Between 2004 and 2006, carried out numerous experimental and cadaver studies, particularly on face transplantation. Has more than 20articles and book chapters on this subject.
In 2007, received the title of Associate Professor in the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Istanbul Bilim University Faculty of Medicine.
In 2007, passed the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery examination (EBOPRAS).
Received the ECFMG (United States Medical Qualification Certificate) in 2005.
Has held the Unrestricted State License certificate (USMLE STEP) in the USA since 2006.
