- Took the examination in Mannheim in 2004 and received the European Certificate in Pediatric Surgery.
- Received the Pediatric Surgery Certificate of Competence in 2005.
- Served as an observer in 1999, 2003 and 2004 at the University of Michigan, Dept. Of Pediatric Surgery, Ann Arbor, USA; Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children, Dublin, Ireland; and Texas Children’s Hospital, Houston, USA.
- Attained the titles of Associate Professor in 2012 and Professor in 2019.
- Has served as Head of the Pediatric Surgery Department at the American Hospital since 2002.
- Was among the founders of the Department of Pediatric Surgery at Koç University and chaired it until 2020.
