Since July 2018, serving as Head of the Department of Pediatrics at the Koç University Faculty of Medicine.
In 2014, worked for one year as a visiting scientist on food allergies in the research laboratory of the Division of Pediatric Allergy at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York.
In 2013-14, assumed the role of Head of the Division of Pediatric Allergy at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine.
In 2004, worked for one year at the Institute of Allergic Diseases and Asthma in Davos, Switzerland, on laboratory methods investigating the immune mechanisms of allergic diseases.
Became Associate Professor in 2005 and Professor in 2012.
Member of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology and formerly served in its Pediatric Allergy Working Group.
Member of the Turkish National Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology and Chair of the Food Allergy Working Group for 2018-2020.
Also a member of the American Society of Asthma, Allergy and Clinical Immunology, the Turkish Pediatric Allergy and Asthma Academy Association, the Turkish Society of Immunology and the Turkish Thoracic Society.
