Between 1991 and 1994, worked at the Internal Medicine Clinic of Justus Liebig University on a TDGS scholarship as an internal medicine resident and research assistant.
Worked as a specialist at the Istanbul Institute of Cardiology: in coronary intensive care between 1997 and 2001, in the echocardiography laboratory between 2001 and 2004, and since 2004 predominantly in the catheterization laboratory.
Received the title of Associate Professor of Cardiology in 2006; appointed to a professor position at the Istanbul University Institute of Cardiology in 2012.
Member of the Turkish Society of Cardiology and the European Society of Cardiology, including its EAPCI and ACCA subgroups, and member and general secretary of the Istanbul Interventional Cardiology Academy Association. Member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Archives of the Turkish Society of Cardiology (TKD).
Chaired the Women’s Heart Health Project Group between 2014 and 2016.
Serves as associate editor of the International Journal of Cardiovascular Academy.
Has more than 100 articles, 51 of which have been published in reputable international journals, and more than 200 papers presented at national and international meetings. Has authored chapters in and served as editor of numerous cardiology books.
