- From 2004 to 2009, served as Head of the Department of Medical Pathology at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine.
- From 2008 to 2010, served as President of the Federation of Pathology Societies.
- Member of the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Health Specialty Training Curriculum Development and Standard-Setting Commission (TUKMOS) since 2010.
- Chair of the Medical Pathology Proficiency Board of the Federation of Pathology Societies since 2018.
- Since 2014, Year 3 Coordinator at Koç University Faculty of Medicine, and since 2015, Chair of the Self-Evaluation Committee.
- Received the Turkish Journalists’ Association Sedat Simavi Health Sciences Award in 2000.
- In 2001, awarded the Research Group Award at the Hacettepe University Academic Awards.
- Won the Second Prize in the Novartis Pharmaceutical Technology Research Award in 2003-2004.
- Recipient of the Koç University Best Educator Award for the 2015-2016 academic year.
- Member of the Ankara Pathology Society, Turkish Pathology Society, “European Association for Haematopathology”, “Sheffield Kidney Institute Club” and the Head and Neck Working Group of the Federation of Pathology Societies.
- Has a total of 136 articles, 93 international and 43 national.
